Bloomfield Hills Workshops
DaVinci
DaVinci In this workshop we will get into the mind of the Renaissance engineer, Leonardo DaVinci. Using the Mindstorms NXT robotics technology we will revive and explore such devices as the flying machine, the aerial screw, the revolving bridge, the double leap spring catapult, and the armored car. This is a shortened version of our summer camp course. Location Dates Ages 7-70

Robot Builders Extravaganza
Builders Extravaganza is buffet for the LEGO building connoisseur. We have designs for all levels of interest and imagination. Of course these designs can be altered to fit the LEGO builders imaginative needs. The best part of this course besides the building is that we make these designs come alive using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT robot. Our designs move, walk and slither. Some of our designs include a robotic puppy, electric guitar, flipping robot gymnast, remote control car, voice control car, bumper car, catapult, crazy lawnmower, rattlesnake and many more.
Saturday from 1:00 to 4:30.

Sumo Battle Bots
One of our most popular programs is Sumo Battle Robots. It combines LEGO robots and battling. In this workshop we will introduce you to the basics of robot programming and help you build your own weapons. This workshop culminates with the Ultimate Sumo Championship where everyone gets several chances to test and improve their robots.
If you have done Sumo before here is your chance to concentrate on better weapons and strategies. If you are new to Sumo here is your chance to experience the most popular robot competition in the world. Ages 7-70.

Robot Builder's Extravaganza
Like Robots? Like LEGO? Come to this workshop and combine both. Robots are fun and they come in all shapes and forms. During this workshop participants choose from dozens of "smart" LEGO robotic contraptions. Imagine LEGO parts, plus motors, sensors and computer control.
Participants can build a:an electric guitar,
a flipping,
robot gymnast,
remote control car,
voice control car,
bumper car,
dragster,
spinner bot,
catapult,
machine gun,
robot arm,
crazy lawnmower,
roller coaster,
rattlesnake,
or a robotic dolphin.
These are just a few of the possible building options that participants can explore and build. Ages 7-70.

BORG Workshop
BORG is our version of Frankenstein's monster. Using CD Rom disks, pliers, glue and of course LEGO we will build motorized cars and creations. In dismantling computer CD Rom drives key components such as motors, gears and mechanisms will be salvaged. The LEGO parts will be used to enhance and individualize your mechatronic creations. Ages 7-70.
